Ireland, Scotland, England and France

Another sunny day and it was good bye to Dublin and the south and hello to Belfast and Northern Ireland. Nothing of note to see as we crossed the border, only difference being the signs changed from km to miles and were no longer written in both English and Gaelic. We started our time in Belfast with a mini guided walk with Emma, taking in the magnificent City Hall, the Albert memorial Clock and the Salmon of Knowledge sculpture. We had time for lunch and a little explore before heading back to the coach to meet Jim our local guide for the afternoon. Jim was quite the character, having a great sense of humour, and he took us to the titanic quarter, Queens university and to the Peace Wall, which everyone signed, explaining all the while about the history of the Troubles that went on here for 30 years. After saying goodbye to Jim, we had another hours free time in the city centre before driving to our new hotel in Antrim where we also had dinner.
