Here are a few of the ways we are working to make educational travel accessible for all families:
Guaranteed best prices
We leverage our long-standing relationships with airlines, hotels and attractions to negotiate better prices. Then, we give you a personal travel planning consultant to help you choose the best tour and tour options for your budget. We don’t make you pay for things you don’t need, and if you happen to find a lower price for the same tour components, we’ll beat it.
Financial assistance
We now offer need-based financial aid for our international tours. Participants who are 18 years old or younger and from households with an annual income of $55,000 or less are eligible to receive $150 in assistance, offered as a reduction in the participant’s tour fee. To be considered, participants must submit an application including a federal tax form 1040. Interested families can start the process by calling Explorica’s Customer Care team at 1.888.310.7121.
Scholarship funds
In addition to our guaranteed best prices we also offer scholarship opportunities throughout the year. These support funds can help make travel even more attainable for your students. Visit our deals and promos page or call your Explorica program consultant to learn about current offers.
Personal fundraising pages
Most groups engage in some form of fundraising activity, and our new personal fundraising pages make it even easier. All paying participants are now provided their very own page on explorica.com, which allows them to solicit and accept online donations towards their tour.
Additional fundraising resources
We also provide expert fundraising advice through our teacher mentor program, in which veteran program leaders share tips and ideas based on their own experience. You can learn what works from people who know through a live webinar and a handy info packet. See our fundraising page for more details.
Low monthly payments
Our monthly payment plan lets participants enroll on tour for just $50, then spread out their tour fee across the months leading up to their trip. With this option, depending on the cost of your tour and how early the participant enrolls, payments can be as low as $149/month. Learn more about this and other payment options on our FAQ page.
