Day 1: June 19, 2013

Hola! Finally we are on Spanish ground. After meeting Froggy (our Tour Director), we transfer to the hotel for a luggage drop-off and then let's start the adventure, no time to waste in spite of the jet-lag thing. Downtown Madrid is breathtaking: so many old buildings, great piazzas and quaint squares, local markets and tapas bars. After a walking tour between Sol and Plaza Mayor, we get to experience the famous tapas concept: munchies of local recipes from seafood, veegetables, meat and spicy sausages...Yummy ! Then, free time in that same area for the next couple hours and an early dinner before retreating back to our base on a metro ride for a well-deserved night ! Buenas Noches !
