Day 2: March 8, 2025
After a long flight, we finally landed at Charles de Gaulle Airport! Everyone was buzzing with excitement as we collected our luggage and met our tour Director, Silvana. The bus ride into the city gave us our first glimpses of Paris, and we couldn’t wait to explore.
We arrived at our hotel in La Défense, the modern business district of Paris. After a quick check-in and dropping off our bags, we freshened up and got ready for our first adventure.
Our first stop was the famous Champs-Élysées. The wide boulevard was packed with people, luxury shops, and cafés. Some of us grabbed a quick snack, while others browsed for souvenirs. The highlight was seeing the impressive Arc de Triomphe up close!
Next, we explored the charming Latin Quarter. The narrow, lively streets were full of bookshops, cafés, and historic buildings. We wandered past Shakespeare and Company and admired the artistic vibe of the area.
For dinner, we enjoyed traditional French dishes at a cozy bistro: poulet and crêpes!
Attending mass at Notre-Dame was a surreal experience. The cathedral’s stained-glass windows and gothic architecture were breathtaking. The candlelit service added to the magical atmosphere.
To end the night, we stopped at Trocadéro for a perfect view of the Eiffel Tower. When the tower sparkled, we all gasped—it was the most incredible sight! We took tons of photos before heading back to the hotel, exhausted but thrilled.
What a perfect first day in Paris!
