Day 1 - Milan to Florence Your Italian adventure began today as you arrived this morning at Milan's airport after a long-haul flight, actually, three of them! After gathering everyone together, we met our driver, Loreto, and boarded the bus for our journey to Florence. The drive was about five hours long, but we made an interesting stop for lunch at an Autogrill, a popular service station chain in Italy. It was a unique experience, giving us a taste of local dining. Continuing on, we passed through the picturesque green landscapes of Tuscany. It was a great opportunity to relax, chat, and soak in the beauty of the Italian countryside while learning a bit about Italy and its rich culture. We finally arrived in Florence, ready to explore. However, just three minutes into our walk, the sky opened up with a heavy downpour! We quickly sought shelter and ended up at the Galileo Museum. It turned out to be a fantastic choice, as we got to see an incredible collection of astronomical tools from over 500 years ago. After the museum, we made our way to a local restaurant for a delicious dinner. We enjoyed authentic Italian pizza and topped it off with some tiramisu. It was the perfect end to our first day. With our bellies full and spirits high, we headed to our hotel for some well-deserved rest. Despite the long journey, you all remained energetic and enthusiastic, ready for the adventures to come. You did amazing today, handling the travel and the unexpected rain with great spirits. Today was the toughest day of the tour, and you all handled it wonderfully. Get a good night's sleep because tomorrow brings new adventures and more incredible experiences. Well done, everyone! Buona notte and see you in the morning for another exciting day in Pisa and Florence!
