Québec & Montréal: Winter Wonderland

March 18, 2016  -  March 22, 2016

What an exhausting, but exciting first day we had. Both groups arrived on time at the Montreal airport, where they met me, their Tour Director, Jocelyn! Once we were ready to go, we departed for Quebec City and headed straight for our hotel to freshen up a little. We are staying in St. Foy at the Hotel Plaza, which is a really nice hotel. After that, we headed for the Old City, where we learned about the early French settlers of Quebec including Samuel de Champlain and his explorers who settled Quebec in 1608. We had dinner at a French creperie where student got to try authentic French crepes for the first time. After that, our groups parted ways for a little while G-Star went on the toboggans, overlooking beautiful Old Quebec, while Jocelyn took Bichop Carrol down into Lower Town for an extraordinary view of the Chateau Frontenac. We then took the Funiculaire back up to Upper Town and checked out the swanky lobby of the Chateau before meeting the other group back at the bus. What a great first day!
