Sloan New York City Essentials

May 22, 2012  -  May 24, 2012

We all met up for the first time at Laguardia Airport. Our first stop was to Grays Papaya, to get a great lunch deal in Manhattan (2 dogs and a drink for $5, not bad). Then it was off to Central Park, where we got to see not only a tribute to John Lennon, but Yoko Ono herself walking past us. Then we saw the Bethesda Terrace, with the Angel of the Waters, which has been filmed in countless movies. Our next stop was down at Chinatown for a little bit of shopping before heading north to dinner. Since we had a few minutes before our meal, we were able to poke into Macy's, the worlds largest deptartment store. Then it was off to Heartland for some food. After our meal, we got to go to the 86th floor observatory at the Empire State Building, where we got great views of the city all lit up, a great ending to the day. We headed to our hotel to check in and get some sleep. We've got a long day ahead of us tomorrow.
