As 2011 comes to an end, we are counting down some of our ‘most populars’ of the year.
This past year, our most popular tour by far was Costa Rica. Teachers and students just can’t seem to get enough of this tropical country—maybe because it provides an excellent combination of forest ecology, ocean and beach biology, and plenty of Spanish language instruction.
Among this tour’s many activities, participants will look down 1,000 feet into the active Poás Volcano, kayak across the crystalline Lake Arenal and relax in its numerous bubbling hot springs, then strap into a harness for the ultimate rainforest experience as they soar through the canopy on a zip line.
And with many additional activities that Group Leaders can add to further customize their tour like visiting a local coconut farm, touring a coffee plantation, or even adding a service visit to a local school, we can see why this itinerary has become a ‘fan favorite’.
